How serious of a repair job is a leaking clutch pump?

I have a 2003 Ford Focus and recently took it in for brake service. They told me my clutch pump was leaking (it's actually leaking down the clutch pedal itself into the car). Is this going to be one of those $400 reapir jobs? I just put a bunch of money into my brakes and I'm not excited about spending a bunch more. How serious of a repair job is a leaking clutch pump? Its called a slave cylinder and no its just high pressure line and just go to a parts store and tell them what you need and they will get you a new line and replace it its not that hard and should cost you less than 100 bucks. How serious of a repair job is a leaking clutch pump?i would repair it. its probably gonna take more than aftermarket hardware to repair it.

the fluid leaking in is brake fluid and its not going to do your carpet any goodHow serious of a repair job is a leaking clutch pump?Do you use the clutch alot or is this another example of Ford's lackadaisical quality control?

I think the MASTER cylinder is near the pedal. The Slave cylinder is by the transmission, under the hood.

Autozone shows a master cylinder for $26.

It helps if you have a bench vise. Clamp the cylinder in the vise. The part includes some bleeder tubes. Fill the reservoir with fluid and work out the air bubbles before mounting on the firewall.

It's not a big job.
