I bought a car about a week ago and everyone keeps telling im going to burn the clutch out, with that said after i learned how to drive the car, when i press the clutch or release it squeaks (while car is off)

You'll know it when the clutch goes. It will slip. slip means you are doing 30 mph and you push the gas to go to 40 mph. The engine goes up to 4000 rpm but the car doesn't go and faster;
Nomally the car would accelerate but because the clutch is slipping the engine doesn't speed up the wheels. You'll know it when it happens.

clutches cables can be a problem find the squeak with the bonnet (aka Hood in USA) open or get a pal to listen near the pedals
If the engine slows when you press clutch down this is more serious
