How do I find out where my clutch fluid is leaking on my 85 Magna?

All of a sudden I have no clutch on my 85 Honda Magna v45. I bled the lines and still nothing. I want to know how to fix this problem my self without paying the blood suckers that want to charge 55.00 an hour, they said I must have a leak someplace. I cannot afford that price. How do I find out where my clutch fluid is leaking on my 85 Magna? If you do not see any obvious sign of fluid leaking ; master cylinder , lines, or slave cylinder, it could be leaking inside your slave cylinder through the shaft seal .. the slave cylinder pushes the shaft in to your clutch, recommend buying a service manual , then you can see if you want to do it yourself or pay the bloodsuckers...

actually 55.00 is not bad.. around here its 65 an hour

Goodluck! How do I find out where my clutch fluid is leaking on my 85 Magna?wash off the engine or your 85 Magna and add fresh fluid and start looking do it in the dark and use a flash light it will be easier and use your sense of smell..clutch fluid is clear but it stinks..like break fluid..good luck and remember if they charge 55 an hour maybe replacing the a couple of parts might be cheaper than using the suckers..good luck..How do I find out where my clutch fluid is leaking on my 85 Magna? To find the leak, look for fluid spots on the ground, between the slave cylinder and the clutch. Talking about repairs comes after you find out whats leaking. How do I find out where my clutch fluid is leaking on my 85 Magna?Do we know if the slave cylinder is even actuating? Maybe the problem is internal, like burnt up clutch plates and weak springs. Has it ever had a clutch pack and springs installed? 1987 model. That's getting on in the lifetime of a motorcycle, if it's never had the clutch overhauled...K ;o)
