I did this with the car on rhino ramps, and getting the transmission back up was extremely difficult to do by myself. I was not able to do it from beneath, so I ended up standing in front of the car, leaning waaaaaay forward and lifting the tranny into place. This was probably not the best thing I could have done for my back.

You will need to hang 1sh the engine though because you will need to loosen the front pendulum mount and the back trans mount. I personally will not do this repair on the floor.
