How do you remove the clutch cable from a Honda cm200t?

I need to change the oil filter on my 81 Honda cm200t. According to the manual, I need to remove the clutch cable from the operating arm, but I'm not sure how to do this. Thanks! How do you remove the clutch cable from a Honda cm200t?That model doesn't have an oil filter.

It has an oil screen that should be cleaned.

The clutch cover must be removed to get to it.

Do not remove the clutch cover unless you have a new gasket. How do you remove the clutch cable from a Honda cm200t?You should be able to loosen the cable at the adjuster (there will be an adjuster at the lever end if not at both ends), then you should be able to disconnect it from the arm end. You need to make sure that when you reconnect it, you have the proper amount of free play. If you're not sure what that means or how to check it, take it to someone that can 'cause you could burn the clutch up if it's not correct.
