If it is too low, then there is the chance of an air bubble, which can cause the clutch not to completely disengage. Then you may have gears grinding.



If air is in the system, then you will have to bleed the system. Hope this is not on a Ford Ranger or F150. I think...What are the symptoms for low clutch fluid?follow the other peoples advice but you dont have to bleed this system if you do this right. fill with fluid, sitting in the vehicle not running pump the clutch approx 25 times, plum to the floor and release it completely each time. stop and let it set about 5 minutes between each job and then do it again and it will work the air out of it by itself. good luck
