How do I bleed a clutch on a 90 Chevy Cheyenne Truck?

The system has pressure and is pushing out air and some fluid but is not building pressure in the clutch. It is suppose to be a self bleeding system. Other than that, if the clutch rod is indeed in the throwout fork properly, it should bleed just like brakes.
