How do i loosen the clutch of my dirt bike?

The clutch of my dirt bike is very hard to pull and i need to loosen it a little. How do i loosen the clutch of my dirt bike?well unlike the other answers i will tell u what u need to know . ur cable might need lubed but its the clutch springs that close the clutch plates when you let go of the lever and they effect how easy or in your case hard it is to pull the clutch in .when u pull the clutch in it is stretching the springs and you let go and they pull the clutch plates back together i know when i had a 86 xr 80 that i had the clutch replaced and it was extremly difficult to pull in untill the clutch springs got loosend up. my bro had a 98 cr 250 that he would cut a coil or two off each clutch spring to help out . but cut too much and your clutch plates wont properlly engage .try a new cable and get a cable luber and cable lube and try that out . if that dont work see if u can order softer clutch springs also make sure u dont have the bolts holding it in the perch to tight .. u can also try to put grease on the clutch lever were it pivots in the clutch perch. also were u adjust the lever on the pearch u want slack in the lever, enough to barely put a quarter in between the lever and perch ,,that can make it a little hard to pull inHow do i loosen the clutch of my dirt bike?Is this on a ttr-125l?

Are you talking about the pull of the clutch lever being to hard? How do i loosen the clutch of my dirt bike?I would say your clutch cable is dirty...Get a cable lubbing tool or buy a new cable...also check your clutch lever and see if it is messed up with gunk....There should be a little slack in your lever like a little slop before the clutch is started to be pulled in...It shouldnt be tight at the lever...enough slack that you could fit a coin in there..

Good luck
